Vitronics Soltec has moved into a state-of-the-art manufacturing and administrative global headquarters facility in Oosterhout, The Netherlands, not far from the company’s previous location. The move was prompted by the company’s continued growth and need for additional manufacturing, and larger R&D as well as training and seminar facilities. The company’s move to this facility marks the fourth location for the company in its almost 90 years of history since its founding in 1916 in Amsterdam. The expansion, delivering a 60% space increase, has been fueled by the company’s increased worldwide market share in the oven business. As president Jeroen Schmits states, “Despite the general depression in the electronic market that began in 2001, Vitronics Soltec has experienced steady growth every year, in large part due to new product development in the areas of selective soldering and reflow. This growth necessitated our expansion into a larger production facility to accommodate the increased global demand, and to allow us to continue to offer our customers the highest levels of service, support, and delivery”. The company is known as a worldwide supplier of reflow, wave and selective soldering technology, equipment, and applications expertise.
