TRI’s X-ray inspection series wins innovation awards
Test Research, Inc. (TRI), a leading test and inspection systems provider for the SMT industry, announces that the company’s TR7600 Series Automated X-ray Inspection has been chosen as the best AXI solution of the year by the leading industry publication, EM Asia. This marks the 4th industry award for TRI’s leading AXI solutions, including Best in Test and Global Technology Awards. TRI’s VP of Sales Jim Lin received the award at the EM Asia Innovation Award Ceremony held on April 22 at Nepcon China in Shanghai, commenting: “With our latest functional software and hardware upgrades, the TR7600 Series with CT has become one of the most competitive solutions on the market, delivering incredible value to our entire installed base.”

The TR7600 Series with 3D CT is the definitive answer to the increasing demand for 3D X-ray inspection of PCB assemblies in the EMS industry. Offering compact inline inspection of complex board assemblies, it combines TRI’s patented digital tomosynthesis technology and intelligent automated software to allow fast and easy inspection of complex multi-layer assemblies in a single cycle. New 3D CT function upgrade for the entire TR7600 X-ray series brings detailed solder joint view and virtual slicing in full 3D, allowing operators much easier defect review and increasing value of both installed and new TRI AXI equipment.
