Microtec´s existing quality system has been enriched: the test lab submitted a request for technical specification TS 16949 for its automotive customers and suppliers and recently received it. ISO TS 16949 is far beyond the existing certification DIN EN ISO 9001. Among others, issues such as customer satisfaction, project controlling, supplier assessment and staff training are focussed on in detail. ISO TS 16949 is an internationally acknowledged certificate, strongly required for automakers and automotive suppliers. The DQS (Deutsche Gesellschaft zur Zertifizierung von Managementsystemen) checked the processes at the independent test lab for three days. By April 4, 2007, the test lab received the technical specification demanded. Once more, the enterprise fulfilled its slogan “focussed on quality.” „Implementation of the required measures started long before“, states Reinhard Pusch, Managing Director at microtec. „They already have to be implemented in order to receive the certification.“ The enterprise sets its focus on staff training: „Qualified staff is the basis of high-quality work.“ The test lab was certified for the first time in 1991. Besides the new ISO TS 16949 the company is certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 and QC 001 002–3, part 2 (includes DIN EN ISO 17025:2005). Being an independent test house, it offers neutral test and analysis results. The company also acts as a neutral and independent assessor for product failures or for confirming test results of its customers.
