Assembléon B.V. and Valor Computerized Systems Ltd. have established a technology partnership. The first result is the integration of Assembléon’s Pick & Place machine interfaces into Valor’s software products. Enhanced machine interfaces are available for vPlan – Valor’s advanced process engineering tool – on the manufacturer’s A-Series, M-Series and X-Series machines. Besides its existing strategic partnership, Valor is the latest company to join Assembléon’s growing list of technology parties.
The manufacturer’s long experience in building optimizers has extended Valor’s vPlan off-line programming tool. Now, vPlan provides an API (Application Programming Interface) to generate manufacturing process definitions for Assembléon machines. The A-Series optimizers perform machine optimization and line balancing. Both companies will continue to cooperate and share technical information in the MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) and NPI arenas. Assembléon’s development focus is platform based with past, present and future compatibility. The manufacturer provides its partners with flexible, cost-effective integration to cope with the fast changing needs of product development. Valor’s revolutionary vPlan brings synchronized process engineering in an easy to use package. It delivers a complete, seamless engineering process from CAD to machine including SMT, Through Hole technology and manual assembly.
