Siplace shows clear commitment to European market
Reportedly, the market leader in placement technology, Siemens Dematic (Siplace) seems proud to have maintained strong and stable European business, continuing to further expand its portfolio, despite extremely harsh conditions over the past three years. Underlining the commitment to the European market, European director Ray Bruce states: “Although a truly global company, the European market has always occupied a space closest to the heart of our Munich headquarters and remains a primary focus region of particular importance to the company”. At Productronica, this can be seen by several world-premier launches of placement equipment platforms, such as the brand new Siplace HF/3 with 3 portals (see cover feature). “With high-volume manufacturing becoming firmly established in locations such as China, the Far East and Eastern Europe, Europe as a whole is fast becoming recognized as a hot spot for prototyping and high technology medium to low volume production. This shift in emphasis toward small batches and diverse products has engendered radical changes in the assembly requirements of the European electronics manufacturing community,” continues Ray Bruce. “Yet the European market still asks for high-quality, high-flexibility and high-volume production – for all these requirements we have the right solution.”
