Universal Instruments is now offering its AdVantis platform at a special introductory price of E 110,000. It is designed for medium volume, flexible production environments (see article in PCB&Assembly section in this magazine). The machine deploys a 7-spindle placement head featuring optics, augmented by an optional large-field-of-view, upward-looking camera to address a broad component range. The complete package comprises the UPS+ operating software, on-site training, full 12-month warranty and a selection of up to 75 feeders – including 8, 12, 16 and 24 mm units. As part of the offer, any additional feeders will be discounted. The introductory initiative starts from the launch on the first day of Productronica and will remain in effect until the end of December 2003, available allover Europe.
