Three of Indium Corporation’s support engineers have recently attained SMTA (Surface Mount Technology Association) certification for the SMT process. Earning the title of Certified Process Engineer are Karl Pfluke, Tim Jensen and David Sbiroli. The SMTA has introduced this program which reportedly should become one of the industry’s most respected qualifications. Two programs and exams are offered: one for the SMT process, the other for SMT systems. As Indium director Rick Short states, “this certification affirms our technical support team’s commitment to understanding the demands and challenges of the SMT assembly community.”
