Dr. Ferdinand Bartels has been appointed leader of the Business Unit Surface Mount, Contact Materials Division (formerly Circuit Materials Division), at W. C. Heraeus headquartered in Hanau, Germany. The main focus of his mission is the expansion of market share in the Surface Mount and Semiconductor & Packaging materials business. Specially focused are the Asian markets as well as growth of his division. Bartels also takes responsibility for the follow-up of the Business Unit’s globalization-strategy. Ferdinand Bartels has many years´ experience in the Semiconductor Industry as well as in development of integrated circuits. Prior to joining Heraeus, he acted as Business Unit Leader at Umicore AG.
