IPTE has taken organizational and staff changes at the top of the group. Its factory automation and contract manufacturing divisions shall follow a more autonomous course. In this respect, Schadnusch Nejad (German, 44) has been appointed CEO of factory automation division, and Luc Switten (Belgian, 39) has been promoted to CEO of contract manufacturing division. Both report to managing director Huub Baren. The concept is that these units can determine their own corporate strategy and implement the decisions in order to take advantage of markets and opportunities. “With these changes at the top of our company, we are able to consolidate our structure and at the same time providing the next generation of leaders”, states Huub Baren.
Schadnusch Nejad began his career at Bosch where he held several positions during the nineties in sales and key account management. Later, he went to Rohwedder/Germany as member of the management board. Luc Switten began his profession at Philips in Hasselt/Belgium. In 1992 he co-founded ITE with four ex-Philips colleagues, including Huub Baren. In 2000, when the company changed the name to IPTE and went public, he went from factory automation to contract manufacturing which was set up following the acquisition of Connect Systems where he was general manager.
