Distributor and service provider in the SMT manufacturing industry Danutek has announced a distribution agreement with 3D measurement-based inspection equipment and solutions provider Koh Young in several new Eastern European territories.
Danutek Hungary and Danutek Balkans will expand their network of Koh Young sales and after-sales support into eight new countries: Serbia, Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Macedonia, and Albania.
The company said the new distribution deal followed a strong relationship between the two companies built over many years, beginning when 3D measurement-driven PCB inspection was still in infancy and continuing as Koh Young grew to become the global market leader in the industry.
“We are delighted to be extending our business partnership with Harald Eppinger and his team at Koh Young Europe and supporting their systems in additional countries in the Eastern part of Europe,” Richard Booth, Founder of Altus/Danutek Group said.
“Koh Young is the dominant player in the inspection field for electronics manufacturing and working with the undisputed market leader in 3D inspection technology, globally, has been the making of our group of companies over the last 15 years.”
“As part of our group, Danutek strives to offer customers, in each region, the very best equipment with the highest quality local ‘in-country’ support. A big part of Danutek’s success is the excellent staff members we have (totalling 45), headed up by general managers, Csaba Berta at Danutek Hungary Kft. and Marian Gavrila at Danutek Balkans Srl.,” said Booth.
“Having responsibility for Koh Young business in all our chosen countries is very exciting for us. The inevitable influence this brings to the group will keep us on a continually positive growth path. It’s a great day for Danutek, and a big milestone in our journey!”
Harald Eppinger, managing director of Koh Young Europe added: ‘’Local presence and excellent support have been and will always be our goal. As we observe growing areas of production across Europe, we see the need to expand our business network into new regions and areas.
“Based on our longstanding experience with our partner Altus/Danutek, we have decided to utilise this professional organisation to expand and improve our regional business offering to extend better value to our customers. With the newly appointed distributor network, we can secure local support even under critical business and travel restrictions, and develop our presence within Europe.”
