The middle-sized German test and measurement company Göpel has reportedly achieved record results in 2004. The turnover reached more than euro 11m, an increase of 18%. Earnings before tax increased by 20%. The number of employees topped 95 people, and also several sales and support centers in the US, Canada, Italy, Scandinavia and China were established. Holger Göpel, chief executive, said, “We cannot view 2004 as simply a successful year, but as a super year”. Approximately 30% of sales were achieved in export. For the company, the trend of last year’s results is to be proven in the upcoming time. According to the chief executive, “standstill is regression” – and therefore making the company’s goal for 2005 a growth rate of about 12%.
