Enthone has acquired 100 % ownership of Shenzhen Hua-Mei Electroplating Technology Co., Ltd. and Hua-Mei (Tianjin) Electroplating Technology Co., Ltd., P.R.C. The company held a 51 % ownership of each entity prior to the sale that was completed October 1, 2006. Effective immediately, Enthone will be conducting business as Guangzhou Cookson Enthone Trading Company Co., Ltd. located in Nansha, Guangzhou, P.R.C., the trading company will exclusively market, promote and sell its processes, products, technologies and services throughout China.
The wholly owned operation includes manufacturing operations in Tianjin, as well as advanced research and development and technical service centers in Shanghai and Shenzhen. Other existing, wholly owned China operations are located in Chengdu and Xiamen. All locations will unite to enhance the company’s presence throughout China and the Asia-Pacific region. “The newly established business was created to better meet the ever-increasing market demand for Enthone materials and processes throughout Asia. We remain strongly committed to bolstering our financial, organizational and human resources throughout the region,“ said Huub van Dun, President of Enthone.
Over the last four years, the enterprise has invested over $15 million to further strengthen its manufacturing, technical support, marketing and sales organizations throughout China. In 1984, the firm was the first specialty chemical company to establish operations on the Mainland. Beyond China, it has been successfully operating throughout the Asia-Pacific region for decades.
