Expanding into plasma technology business

Plasma-finish GmbH, Schwedt/Oder, has been taken over by PINK GmbH Thermosysteme, Wertheim, (Germany), and now operates as PINK GmbH Plasma-finish. For more than a decade, Plasma-finish has been developing and producing in the market low-pressure plasma high-quality plant and systems for activating, cleaning and coating a wide variety of surfaces. Its customers include prominent players in the automotive, semiconductor and medical apparatus sectors. The adminstrative departments of PINK GmbH Plasma-finish will immediately share the same roof as PINK GmbH Vakuumtechnik in Wertheim-Bestenheid and in the medium-term the production of the plasma plant will move from Schwedt to the Wertheim-Bestenheid production site. With this acquisition the Wertheim-based family enterprise is expanding its product portfolio to include surface technology while anticipating attractive synergies with its vacuum technology and thermosystems business. In particular, existing customers in the high-grade vacuum soldering market can obtain plasma technology production benefits. Also in the field of plasma technology, PINK – just as in the two other traditional sectors – will now be in a position to offer from a single source a full range of capabilities – from analysis and planning via engineering and development to plant production and after-sales service.
