electronicAmericas going strong despite crisis

The 5th electronicAmericas took place first week of June together with the collaborated 25th FIEE at the Anhembi Park Exhibition Hall in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Although under the shadow of an economic crisis the fair closed with a new record of 53,567 trade visitors. lectronicAmericas is the leading regional trade fair for electronic assemblies and components, electronics manufacturing, and photonics in South America. It takes place every two years and is organized and promoted by Messe München International. “The success of the eAmericas shows the ever growing importance of the Brazilian electronics market. The compelling presence of executives from the main national and international companies emphasizes the impression and shows the high decision making power at the fair” said Klaus Dittrich, Managing Director of Messe München International. The electronicAmericas and FIEE covered a total of 60,000 square meters of floor space and gathered 1,100 exhibitors from over 30 countries. Among them 320 exhibitors from 21 countries who exhibited at electronicAmericas. Germany and China were represented with joint pavilions organised by Messe München’s subsidiary IMAG (Internationaler Messe- und Ausstellungsdienst). The range of exhibits at electronicAmericas and FIEE included electronic electronics manufacturing.
