Distributor network expanded to Asia

XenICs is expanding its network of distributors and sales representatives to accommodate the growing market impact of its products and services, especially in Asia. The enterprise can now rely on a total of seven worldwide distributors and reps. The newcomers in Asia are AD Science Co. in Funabashi-shi, Japan, DatVision Co. Ltd. in Seoul, Korea, and Photon-Tech Instruments in Daya Township, Taiwan.

The company has enjoyed wide acclaim for its InGaAs focal-plane array image sensors and cameras, such as the XEVA series. Some of these models come equipped with an integrated multi-stage thermoelectric cooling system which provides a stable temperature environment for the detectors, thereby achieving an excellent performance. As a consequence, for standard imaging applications, these sensors do not require cooling – but cooling can be added to reduce dark current for longer integration times.
The firm supplies infrared imaging and line scan cameras covering wavelengths from below 1 to 12 µm. InGaAs detectors for the near-infrared operate from 0.9 to 2.5 µm and InSb detectors for the mid-infrared from 3 to 5 µm. OEM products as well as custom-designed infrared imaging devices belong to the portfolio. All InGaAs arrays are made in-house, but the company offers cameras based on MCT or InSb detectors and microbolometers as well. In the near infrared (NIR) realm, innovative solutions for InGaAs detectors operating from 0.9 to 1.7 µm or 1.1 to 2.5 µm (XEVA family) are provided. In the MWIR, the company tenders InSb based cameras (XMID family) operating from 3.0 to 5.0 µm. The LWIR range is covered by the XPORT camera based on a microbolometer for 8.0 to 12.0 µm.
Among its latest products is a high-end InGaAs focal plane camera with 320 x 256 pixels. For these cameras, XenICs is the sole Europe-based supplier. A broad range of in-house developed driver and development software rounds out the product and service portfolio.
