The team at Rehm Thermal Systems is currently celebrating following the delivery of its 3000th soldering system. The recipient was Hirschmann Car Communication (HCC) and the event was marked by a special presentation at the customer’s headquarters in Neckartenzlingen, Germany. HCC’s historic purchase centred on the Rehm VisionXP, a sophisticated convection soldering system popular for its process stability, minimal maintenance requirements and ease of operation. The system was purchased to boost productivity in one of the company’s four SMT production lines, focused on manufacturing electronic devices for the automobile industry. The official handover of the 3000th Rehm Soldering System took place in the HCC production hall where the company’s team including CEO, Ludwig Geis, received a certificate and gifts from the company’s representatives.
Following the presentation, the Operations Manager, Joachim Erhard explained: “The delivery of our 3000th soldering system is obviously a significant milestone for us here at Rehm, and it’s a milestone that we’re extremely proud of. We’ve spent the last 20 years delivering innovative solutions for the electronics industry and remain the only single source for both convection and condensation soldering systems. We’ve built our company on successful long-term relationships like the 18-year-old partnership we’ve established with HCC, so it’s fitting that they were the recipient of our 3000th system! As we reflect on 18 successful years of mutual cooperation and innovation with HCC, we look forward to developing this strong team spirit even further into the future.”
HCC was founded by Richard Hirschmann in 1924. Since this time, the company has evolved to be a leading provider of antenna and receiving systems for the automobile industry. Operating in a highly competitive industry, the company found that soldering and heating system efficiency was paramount to its success and partnered with Rehm to fulfil these requirements over 18 years ago. The recent purchase of a VisionXP system sees HCC benefit from advanced design features such as energy efficient heat transfer thanks to optimised heat profiling, in addition to a drastically lower maintenance requirement enabled by integrated Pyrolysis residue management technology.
