At Schleuniger, Switzerland, Calvin Grieder becomes the new Chairman of the Board of Directors. One and a half year after the sale of the Schleuniger Group to the Metall Zug AG, the planned change of management will now take place. On November 1, 2009, Calvin Grieder (53), CEO of the Bühler Group (Uzwil, Switzerland) takes over the Chairmanship from Dr. Gerhard Jansen (63). At the beginning of 2008, Jansen arranged the succession in ownership with the sale of the Schleuniger Group to Metall Zug. A basic element of his concept was the early and accompanied succession. Accordingly, Jansen and his partner of many years and Schleuniger CEO Martin Strehl led the company after the sale without change. As a result, they allowed the employees, as well as the new ownership an ideal transition. Already at an early stage, the plan took shape to finalize the accompanied phase consistently after around two years with the completion of the succession plan for the Chairman of the Board of Directors.
“As an internationally experienced personality with leadership skills, Calvin Grieder is the candidate of choice for the Chairmanship of Schleuniger”, Gerhard Jansen is happy to say. Schleuniger is one of the globally leading companies for wire processing solutions and is a specialist for high-precision stripping & crimping technology. Manufactured in Switzerland and Germany, Schleuniger machines and equipment are used in various industries and markets all over the world. The Schleuniger Group represents the division “Wire Processing” of Metall Zug (listed at SIX Swiss Exchange, Zurich).
