IPTE Factory Automation (FA) has good reason to celebrate right now: number 400 of its efficient PCB depanelers has at the present been manufactured and sold. Klaus Bonath, IPTE Germany’s sales manager, described this significant event: “The high reliability and the performance of PCB routers have fully convinced our customers. These machines have proven themselves in daily practice to be a great solution. This clearly demonstrates that with our equipment we fulfill the customers‘ requirements without compromises and so too the expectations of their clients with our competent manufacturing equipment for high-quality electronic assemblies.” Huge quantities of PCBs have to be separated from large board panels on the electronics shop floor without stress and harming the individual substrates. Any kind of damage or even partial destructions or entire damage to the PCB cannot be tolerated for both quality and cost reasons. In this field of application with its high requirements the company offers efficient solutions with universally usable PCB router systems. Depending on the application and the requirements the separation method used can be sawing or milling or a useful combination of both. In the course of a com- prehensive product offensive the company has revised its portfolio on depanelers and at the same time expanded the range of these machines. Special attention has been placed on the changed and increased requirements in the different market niches. Furthermore, the company now offers individually designed turnkey systems for the successive process steps of the singularized PCBs, as a useful addition to its portfolio of depanelers. These process steps can be the handling of PCBs or products under difficult con- ditions and assembly of special parts, and can also encompass an entire range of other back-end procedures.
