Avago Technologies has been awarded the 2006 North American Optoelectronic Components Growth Excellence Award by Frost & Sullivan. Criteria included the ability to grow in a saturated or maturing market, annual market share growth, implementing unique sales strategies to increase market share and revenue growth, product innovation, and effective management of existing product portfolio, among other factors.
In his analysis on the selection of Avago, Frost & Sullivan Analyst Hemendhira M noted, “The company has established a high-degree reputation by providing a diverse range of industry-best fiber-optic products, LEDs, displays, optocouplers, image sensors, and infrared components which has strategically helped it to improve its presence over a wide range of applications.”
He further states, “By adopting structured strategies and commercializing highly sophisticated prod- ucts, the company has been recognized as a one-stop shop that offers a diverse range of productlines tailored to suit varying applications. The company fulfills the immediate requirements of its diverse customers who arrive from enterprise networking, wired and wireless communication, computer peripherals, industrial, and automotive markets.“
