With the extension of their plant at Dornstadt, Germany, Asys doubled its production area. Klaus Mang and Werner Kreibl, both founders and general managers of the successful company, opened the new shop floors and office areas for Design, R&D and administration mid-october in the presence of customers, supply chain partners and their employees.
„It might appear very courageous to the public to do such a big step,“ Klaus Mang said in his opening speech. „We started planning in 2007, when not the smallest sign of an economic downshift was visible. We lived with crowded premises for a long time and are very glad to have now the space we need. And despite of the crisis our actual success – not only in the field of manufacturing equipment for the solar industry – reaffirms us right now, that we took the right step forward.“
Werner Kreibl presented the company´s history since its founding in 1992 and closed: „The actual production area of more than 16.000 squaremeter allows us to further improve throughput and quality. A previously supplied line, installed and ramped up to productivity in very short time, can save the customer lots of money. And we know, our customers will apreciate this“, Kreibl said.
The Invest in the new building was 10 million Euro. The office area grew from 1.400 to 3.000 squaremeter. Asys has 690 employees, 440 of them in Dornstadt.
