HumiSeal is celebrating its 50th anniversary as arguably the only vendor able to manufacture and supply conformal coatings solutions from all of the main types of chemistry. The company will be marking this anniversary with various events and at exhibitions around the globe. The vendor is also planning significant product announcements later this year, which are expected to revolutionise customer expectations from coating products. For the last 50 years, the enterprise has been developing and supplying the electronics manufacturing industry with a complete and widely qualified range of conformal coating solutions. Its range of products has been developed and tested to ensure that it exceeds the current needs of the customer base, as well as those of the future, and includes:
- Acrylics one of the most widely used materials available, fast drying, easy to apply and especially easy to rework.
- Urethanes designed to offer excellent chemical resistance properties
- Silicones designed to protect electronics in high temperature (>150 °C) applications
- Water based products for ease of use and low VOC emissions, available in both acrylic and urethane chemistries
- Epoxy materials offering outstanding chemical resistance
- Synthetic rubber materials offering extremely durable and flexible coating properties
- UV curable materials with very low VOC emissions, fast processing speeds, outstanding chemical resistance and excellent thermal endurance
- Aerosols available in water based, acrylic or urethane coatings for convenient application. Ideal for proto-typing and low volume production.
Most recently, the company has engineered and launched UV 40, a UV curing product. It was developed to be easy to process and resistant to cracking under thermal cycling, offering manufacturers a genuine alternative to solvent-based coatings, without any of the problems normally associated with this type of material.
For the first time, high-volume users in market sectors such as automotive and white goods / consumer electronics can now gain access to the popular UV curable coating class, taking advantage of the combination of rapid cure speed, high level of processing ease and thermal cycling resistance, never before achieved with UV materials.
