Techvalley Europe is pleased to announce that it has received a purchase order for the first Hawkeye 9020 AXI to be sold in Europe.

The competition started with 4 players and Techvalley Europe’s Hawkeye 9021 AXI became the winner of this very demanding project. Key features, including iTOP technology applied to BGA, PTH, FMI, and solder ball inspection, plus the ePM interface for CAD/Gerber input convinced the customer that the Hawkeye 9020 was the best system for the job. Of course, customer support and pricing also played a part in the final decision.

The i-TOP (inspection technology for overlapped patterns) is a unique algorithm processing technology based on Artificial Intelligence and uses only one image for the inspection. Traditional laminographic techniques require five images or more. The i-TOP technology accurately recognises defects that are challenging due to overlapping devices on double sided boards.

This AXI solution functions perfectly as an automated inspection system without any human interaction. All data collected can be stored and exported into management information systems, therefore the Hawkeye 9020 AXI is fully ready for integration into Smart Factory and Industry 4.0 concepts.

There is also a big interest in their recently launched Hawkeye 1000 automated X-ray chip counter, able to count 4 reels simultaneously with market leading speed and accuracy, entering Europe at an aggressive price, ensuring fast ROI for its users.

The company is building a reputation for offering systems with ‘state of the art’ technology at prices which ensure a quick pay back and demonstrate the reputation for reliability, which they bring with them from Asia where they have long term partnerships with most of the big names in the industry. This sale is an important milestone as Techvalley has only recently started to build a platform in Europe.
