Turn key solutions provider – from concept to completed product

Full-Service provider conquers the European market with know-how, quality and delivery reliability
Turn key solutions provider – from concept to completed product

AEMtec, German electronic manufacturing service provider and technology expert with long term know-how in development and manufacturing, has presented itself as a full-service provider and outsourcing partner at electronica 2008. AEMtec considers itself not only to be a contract manufacturer for process development and production of complex modules, but a full-service provider for development and manufacturing of complex OEM products in the field of optics, mechatronics and energy systems.

With respect to outsourcing AEMtec concentrates on end-of-life products. Therefore its customers can outsource their “old” products, with which they still receive revenue, but will eventually be discontinued. This gives them the advantage to concentrate their production facilities for new projects and products without the need for additional manufacturing capacity. In addition the full service provider is planning to newly focus on medical technology, general lightning and customized packages.

When it comes to fulfilling its customer’s requirements AEMtec focuses on the highest quality, delivery reliability, the long term know-how of its employees and excellent service. As a full service provider emphasis is on Design to Cost (DTC), Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Quality (DFQ). In addition AEMtec offers its customers technology point applications and global supply chain management. The AEMtec GmbH is certified according to ISO/TS 16949:2002, DIN EN ISO 14001:2004, ISO 9001 and aspires to a certification according to ISO 13485 in 2009.
Customers with the highest requirements rely on the qualified services of AEMtec. Today its client list includes companies from the fields of aviation and aerospace, automotive, data and telecommunications, industrial applications and medical technology. Medical technology is an area where AEMtec will pay special attention to in the near future. The Berlin based company sees a huge potential here and is optimally positioned due to its capabilities and experienced qualified employees.
Matthias Lorenz, Key Account Manager at AEMtec, says: “Our advantage is that we have manufacturing and development facilities in Germany and therefore are able to quickly, close-to-the-customer and specifically respond to our European based customer’s wishes and requirements. Our declared target is to offer our customers within the lifecycle management every service from concept to solution. What we are not able to offer ourselves we can provide from our long-term and experienced business partners. Our service ranges from concept and consulting over product and process development to qualification and prototyping“.
Customers benefit from the technology partners, which together with AEMtec GmbH consolidate within one holding. The partners are the Swiss companies Mikrap, GS Swiss PCB and ECR Swiss EMS. AEMtec presented itself together with ECR AG at this year’s electronica. Its Swiss partner manufactures electronic assembly groups for demanding technical applications and offers, since many years, EMS services for the medical technology.
AEMtec is a full-service EMS provider for complex OEM products in the field of optics, mechatronics and energy systems. The company is based in Berlin at the renowned science and technology location Berlin-Adlershof. AEMtec is a successful pioneer of multi-chip modules in mixed technology and implements the latest bumping and COB technologies. AEMtec is also leading in micro system technology and optical technologies. Another strength is the combination of SMT/BGA/CSP/COB and flip-chip applications on all current substrates such as printed circuit boards, foils, ceramics, glass and wafers. The company was founded in 2000 as a spin-off from Infineon and now has 100 employees.
