Marantz Business Electronics has launched iMentor, a training and support system designed to help new and experienced operators get the most out of the company’s range of advanced AOI technologies. Engineered to deliver the shortest programming times and best inspection results, iMentor substantially improves operator productivity for ongoing process optimisation. A web-based tool that can also be used offline, the training and support system represents a completely new training concept. Incorporating step-by-step guidance supported by screen shots, users can easily set up programs while navigating through easy-to-follow instructions. A useful ‘Search’ feature also enables users to input keywords to find corresponding articles from the online manual – completely removing the need for time-consuming paper searches. This function also enables users to search the company’s ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ database, gaining immediate accessibility to helpful advice and information.
The intuitive system also acts as a portal to the very latest Marantz product and company information. Featuring an informative front page that instantly alerts users about new software releases and MainStampLibrary updates, iMentor will be constantly updated to ensure users can rely on 24/7 access to the very latest programming information and advice.
“Having pioneered true 24-bit colour image processing that has revolutionised the field of AOI by expertly detecting defects and minimising false alarms, it is essential that our customers have all the tools they need to make the most of this innovative technology,” says Marantz Business Electronics General Manager, Henk Biemans.
