Support for placing 1.5 inches (38.1mm) tall parts which has been offered on the popular Aimex series of Fuji Machine is also now available for NXT III machines. Many of the parts that exceed 1 inch (25.4mm) in height such as transformers, LAN connectors, and large relays used for automotive boards and motherboards are usually placed after the SMT process by hand or with some kind of assembly robot. By being able to support parts up to 1.5 inches (38.1mm) in height on the SMT machines, simpler and higher quality production is possible due to eliminating human errors from manual work and no longer needing separate dedicated robots for assembling these parts after the SMT process.
