This year’s SMT 2008 was a huge success for Goepel electronic. At the centre of interest was our new AOI system OptiCon TurboLine for high-end inspection during large volume production, which was introduced during the trade show. Also our other AOI systems OptiCon BasicLine and OptiCon SmartLine as well as our extended JTAG/Boundary Scan solutions generated a lot of interest. One trend is clearly visible: The visitor’s quality has increased throughout the last years. This is proven by the fact that the visitors came to us with specific solutions or were looking to find providers to solve explicit problems. We had some very long discussions and meetings with visitors which lasted even longer than the official business hours.
