On-the-fly high performance inspection
CyberOptics Corporation showcased its latest QX100i Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) system which offers high value, flexible inspection for all applications, and is the ideal choice for selective solder and pre-reflow applications. At the core of every system is the SIM (Strobed Inspection Module), enabling “on-the-fly” high-performance inspection. Its white strobe lighting, featuring dual fixed-angle illuminators, allows users to capture crisp, perfect quality images. Additionally, users can choose a combination of lighting to further enhance component features and achieve perfect contrast. The result is lowest false call rates and improved performance. The company’s unique SAM (Statistical Appearance Modeling) vision technology works in absolute harmony with AI2 (Autonomous Image Interpretation) technology to enable even faster and simpler programming. Users can inspect anything with SAM/AI2, while ensuring good defect detection and lowest false call rates. The system also comes with a range of unique value-add solutions for improved inspection and better yields. ePM-SPI/AOI programming software enables both SPI and AOI program generation in one step, allowing users to get started in a flash. CyberConnect correla- tion tool enables effective tracea-bility of defects between SPI and AOI systems to reduce rework costs and enhance product quality.
