New filter system for rigorous requirements
Filtronic’s mobile filter systems, which have become renowned for high reliability and good overall economic performance, now have a big brother. This is a result of the launch of the MG400 with a suction capacity of a full 400 m3/h, without reducing the degree of separation for particles or gases. Filtronic is the Lidköping company that exports virtually throughout the world. The products, high-quality filter systems, are mainly sold to customers in the electronics industry, but also in healthcare, engineering and other industries that place rigorous demands on a neat and clean work environment. Filtronic’s mobile systems, the MG series, have reportedly attracted a large amount of attention for their reliability and prolonged useful life. The launch is now taking place of the MG 400, with an extraction rate of 400 m3/hour and with the capacity to be connected to eight extraction arms or two air-curtain cabinets. “The filter meets the demands for clean-room work and eliminates more than 99.97 percent of particles and more than 95 percent of the undesirable gases in process air,” says Filtronic’s Marketing Manager, Annika Klasson. Naturally, the MG400 is regulated using remote control, with the ability to set blower speed and alarm functions, as well as monitoring the useful life of the filter. The MG400 is also ESD-safe. “Another benefit is its low noise level, less than 55 dB(A) in the operator zone at maximum blower speed, despite the high suction capacity.” The filter is designed for an estimated lifetime of 100,000 hours of operation. The filter lifetime in the case of hand soldering corresponds to approximately 60 kg of solder wire for the main filter and, during this time, seven or eight pre-filters are used. “We never lower our high level of quality,” says Annika Klasson. Filtronic, with development, production and marketing in Lidköping, has conquered the market in more than 35 countries in 15 years. Its customers include all of the key electronics companies, such as Ericsson, Nokia, LG, Panasonic and Philips. Filtronic’s successes are based on a combined gas and particle filter, which is unique in the market and provides excellent separation. Combined with good overall economic performance, this has resulted in marketing successes. Filtronic is represented in Austria by Hilpert electronics GmbH.
