Metal-glass bonding with UV-technology
Metal-to-glass and metal-to-plastics bonding represent a specialist field of metal bonding, in wich modern UV system technology is becoming increasingly popular. The excellent interaction of Panacol’s chemical products and Hönle’s innovative UV curing devices make the Hönle Group a unique single-source system provider on the adhesives market. The UV specialist presented its UV hand and point sources as well as the latest developments in the UV LED sector. The LED Spot covers with his light an area of 20 mm x 20 mm and can, depending on the required intensity and homogeneity, be significantly increased by changing the lamp’s troll unit, complete processing sequences, such as exposure sequences with varying intensities and waiting times, can be programmed to minimise cycle times especially in fully-automated production lines. The LED Spot is available with air or water cooling. LED Powerline, a high-performance array is the perfect choice for curing UV-reactive adhesives and sealants. Its low weight and compact size of just 88 x 20 x 50 mm permit its integration in small spaces. It can be extended to more than one metre in 40 mm increments. Available are a range of lenses for the bluepoint LED. This LED point source has been developed for applications requiring high-intensity UV irradiation.
