Capable of handling up to 8“ (200 mm) wafers, the PORTA-VAC II with wafer tip VMWT-C comes standard with one molded peek wafer tip, which is ideal for handling wafers, flat panels or any item that has a flat, hard surface. Additionally, it easily lifts more than 500 grams, has no hoses to get in the way and includes a disposable 9V battery. Rear exhaust of the pump air is standard on these units. A switch setting on the bottom of the tool allows selection of alkaline battery or NiMH battery discharge characteristics for the low battery indicator. Also, a large on/off switch provides easy control, and an internal air filter (P/N PV4000-FIL-5) is replaceable from the front of the tool. The Class 1 exhaust filter is clean room approved and ensures clean operation. An optional rechargeable battery pack and in-stand charger also are available. This tool accepts any of Virtual Industries’ handling tips that have the press-fit-adaptor.
