At the end of August 2008 Juki Automation Systems supplied their new high-speed modular mounter FX-3 to Russia. At first installation of the mounter was held at Sovtest ATE Company in Kursk which is a distributor of Juki Corporation in Russia. The representatives of Juki Automation Systems (Head of International Service Support Group and Internal Training Manager) came there too to help with the installation and start-up of the equipment and to train Sovtest ATE’s specialists. After the FX-3 machine was sent to its permanent place of running – the Incotex Holding Company in Moscow, one of the biggest manufacturers of electronics in Russia, Sovtest ATE’s engineers together with specialists from Juki Corporation successfully installed the machine there and trained Incotex’s technicians. The mounter was built in the current technological line so its capacity is now by minimum 50 % higher than before. According to placement speed simulations carried out by the Juki Corporation’ technicians, the line capacity could be increased even further (up to 30 %) when allocating the nozzles in a different way and/or when using a number of additional nozzles. Judging by visual inspection of installed Juki equipment, servicing and maintenance are performed at an adequate level. As a final stage of FX-3 delivery to Russia there was the demonstration of the machine to its prospective customers, which took place at the premises of Incotex Holding from the 1st up to the 4th of September. More than 25 specialists from different companies, including mass media representatives visited that event. High placement speed and at the same time compactness of the machine made a deep impression on everybody. Pieter van der Vorst (Regional Sales Manager ROE) from Juki Corporation was also there. He underlined that such an activity is very effective for customer’s interest and that it is a very good way to show the whole line of offered equipment.
