Essemtec, the Swiss manufacturer of production systems for electronics, introduces advanced BHL-04 and BHU-04 PCB magazine handlers. A new electric telescope push-in replaces the pneumatic piston, reducing the loaders’ overall length by half a meter. The higher efficiency of the drive system reduces energy consumption by 50 percent. The handlers also feature a new graphical operation console.
Numerous customer requests and field experiences have influenced the further development of the new magazine handlers. For example, the length of the PCB loader module has been reduced by half a meter by replacing the pneumatic push-in piston with an electric telescopic feed. The latter has other advantages, too: The system does not require compressed air for operation and the PCB push-in now can be precisely controlled. The lift table for PCB magazines has been reconstructed. For the same speed and maximum load specifications, driving motors now only require 50 percent of electric power. Exchanging magazines has become easier and faster, and the lift can be flexibly adapted for different magazine and PCB dimensions.
For programming, a new graphical console with touch screen is integrated. All parameters can be set and saved using the user-friendly interface. The software design is based on eez-technology, the modern graphical user interface introduced by Essemtec.
The magazine handlers are available in three base versions: Loader, unloader and combined module. Loaders and unloaders can be integrated into any production line by means of the SMEMA interface. The combined module is suitable for fully automatic batch solutions such as an independent printing cell that serves multiple assembly lines.
