Essemtec, a leading Swiss manufacturer of highly flexible production systems for electronics announces that it will for the first time show a pick & place machine, the automatic FLX2011, on the upcoming Electronica 2008 exhibition in Munich, Germany. Therefore, customers can get information about components, applications and production machines in one single place. The manufacturer’s target is to help customers save time for visiting other exhibitions. In addition to the pick&place head this system can be equipped with up to two dispensing systems. The system can mount non-SMD components, too, such as metal domes or through-hole LED. The machine can be configured as standalone, in-line or batch machine. For more throughput and higher feeder capacity it offers modular expansion. Up to 480 SMD feeders can be connected and the working area can be as large as 780 x 600 mm. The FLX2011 is 20 % faster and more accurate than it’s predecessor, the FLX2010 with more than five hundred installations worldwide.
