CyberOptics UK, a world leader in intelligent sensing solutions for the electronics assembly and semiconductor equipment markets, has become the 500th member of Electronics Yorkshire, the organisation supporting and promoting growth of electronics in Yorkshire and Humber. The Electronics Yorkshire’s membership network has gone from strength to strength since it was launched just over three years ago, as electronics companies all across Yorkshire and the Humber have seen the benefit of good support, particularly on environmental regulations that have been introduced across the industry. Many companies have also taken advantage of the industry-specific training courses and access to a wide range of advanced technical equipment available at Electronics Yorkshire’s headquarters in Leeds. Skipton-based CyberOptics UK is responsible for the sales and support of a wide range of inspection systems, manufactured at the company’s headquarters in Minnesota, USA, to its European customer base. This includes both its 3 D solder paste measurement systems and 2 D/3 D automated optical inspection systems. CyberOptics UK’s managing director Sean Langbridge said: ‘Electronics Yorkshire can bring invaluable support and services to Cyber-Optics. We are looking forward to networking with other member companies and accessing the wide range of services and support available, particularly IPC related training courses, which will provide our engineers with the latest industry requirements and specifications.’ Electronics Yorkshire’s network and operations manager Andy Lee said: ‘This is a significant milestone, which reflects the continued success and popularity of our organisation. Members of our network continue to benefit from a wide range of dedicated support and we are proud that in just over three years we have made a substantial contribution to the electronics industry in the region and that we continue to attract new members to the network.’
