DynTest Technologies has added a table top die expander to its current product portfolio of scriber & breaker equipment. The semi-automated system DYEX-7A enables equal expansion across a diced wafer. Due to the PLC controlled and air-pressure supported process it guarantees a consequent high level of repeatability. Other important factors for process uniformity and improved productivity are the ± – 0.1 °C accurate hot plate to preheat the tape to be expanded and the rapid temperature ramp up in less than 30 sec. The model processes either hoops or film frames and is normally dedicated to one diameter in the range of 4 “ to 12 ”. On special request two adjacent hoop/film frame sizes may be covered by one system.
