Seica SpA, a leading Italian manufacturer of versatile ATE and production systems for testing electronics, has opened a new customer demo and support centre in Munich, Germany. ATE equipment is installed for demos, education and support for their German, Austrian and Swiss clients. The new showroom opened earlier this year in July and is operated by Bernd Hauptmann and his Seica Team Germany. A range of Seica ATE equipment is in place and can be used by customers for benchmarks and evaluation purposes. Furthermore, the local and Italian Seica experts are available to offer machine and/or software training for operators and process specialists. The Munich training centre is equipped with:
Firefly selective soldering system
Firefly concentrates all the power and precision of laser technology into the automated selective soldering process of electronic boards and assemblies. Firefly integrates Seica’s easy to use VIVA Software, which includes a completely new automatic program development environment that drastically reduces the time needed to setup soldering programs.
Equipped with a SMEMA compatible board conveyor system and fiducial recognition, Firefly is easily integrated into a fully automated production line. Sophisticated algorithms and fast loop control enable automatic management of printed circuit board characteristics and environmental factors, resulting in a high level of soldering quality and repeatability.
Pilot flying probe system
Pilot/Aerial is a most versatile and complete line of automatic flying probe test systems, offering the widest range of solutions and performances for flying probe test of electronic boards on the market today. Models range from two to eight test probes, accessing simultaneously one or both sides of the board, which can be positioned either horizontally or vertically.
Strategy In-Circuit/Functional tester
The Strategy has all the power and flexibility required to provide a complete test solution: from traditional in-circuit testing, to low voltage/power analog functional tests, all the way up to high frequency digital functional tests with diagnostics guided by a mathematical simulator. Most important features are: Seica VIVA Software, maximum 8192 test pins, Fiber optics bus, Synthetic instruments, DSP hardware core, functional, in-circuit and vector less (Openfix) test, mechanical receiver powered with compressed air as well as Off-Line Programming and repair station software embedded.
