X-ray inspection with more features
Viscom’s X8011 series X-ray inspection system reportedly delivers greater performance and innovative features such as automated handling for in-line capability and a larger inspection area in a compact footprint. With an improved user interface and other functions, the instrument provides inspection of a 360 x 410 mm area for larger assemblies or other objects with a weight of up to 10 kg. The pneumatically driven front window supports convenient manual loading and unloading of the specimens. Automatic loading/unloading through the lateral elevating doors permit the system to be used as an automated test island. In addition to the 3-axis manipulator, a tilting unit is used for 3D inspection: a tilting board holder is especially suited for flat assemblies, or, alternatively, an orthogonal tiltable double-frame. Optional flat image detectors are now available with this system. All system parameters and safety features are monitored permanently and corrected as required. The intuitive user interface allows simple operation of the entire system right up to analysis (for BGA, flip chip, wire sweep, surface errors) and image processing. The overall image feature (live imaging and display of test object) enables quick and exact movement to the position. The instrument can be retrofitted with 3D software and hardware. The system is available with accelerations of 100, 120, 160 and 200 kV.
