Tecnomatix Unicam has introduced eM-Library Expert, a Web-based part library portal that provides a seamless method for automated transfer of component data required for assembly and test of board assemblies. The library is integrated with eMPower PCB Assembly & Test, an NPI solution, and offers centralized access to component data that will shorten the time leading to productivity and enhance right-first-time capabilities. The library provides a method of creating, managing and updating NPI component information, reducing the time for managing these and ensuring accurate test and assembly program creation. This can reportedly cut the time it takes to populate NPI libraries by as much as 60%, while reducing machine programming time by up to 80%.
