The Elektrobit production tester for cellular phones is comprised of complete functional test and calibration systems which offer two major advantages: hardware independency in measurement equipment and high flexibility. The system supports a wide selection of radio-communication testers from the major suppliers, and offers automation solutions for different kinds of manufacturing environments. The handling of the phones can be manual, semi automated or real automated. The test software environment is NI TestStand. The system allows fast application creation by supporting multiple chipsets, and by access to a large library of standard test cases and built-in system calibration routines, as well as open interfaces for databases and factory systems. Reportedly, the configuration is designed with extensive expertise on mobile phones and thorough understanding of their manufacturing process.
