Orobotech’s VeriFast21 is a next-generation defect verification and rework station in its line of automated optical inspection (AOI) solutions for electronics assembly. This fast, flexible and easy-to-use unit includes such features as an intuitive user interface, color graphical display, programmable keypad and laser pointer. All are designed to help the operator quickly identify and eradicate defects, thus speeding up the whole repair cycle. Using defect information from an AOI system, the tool simplifies defect review and classification, while providing users with a valuable database in their own self-determined terminology to identify recurring defects and decide on the course of action for process improvements. For industries where traceabilty of all product-build information is necessary, the data also contains a record of all activities for defects detected at AOI stage.
