The solder saver cleaner can reduce solder bar consumption in wave soldering by as much as 50 %. The lightweight, handheld tool scoops dross directly from the surface of the solder pot. Using a rotary process, the unit instantly separates the dross oxides from the solder. Separated solder flows back into the pot while the oxide is deposited onto the solder surface for easy collection and removal. Typically, the process is as fast as conventional methods, but adds the advantage of considerably reducing handling of toxic and weighty materials as well as lengthy and costly operator delays.
