The LPKF ProtoMat S62 PCB plotter is a compact, afforadable and automated system that delivers more than double the milling speed of comparable machines in board prototyping. It features automated tool change and a motorized Z-axis, usually found on higher-priced systems. The machine can mill 150mm (6-in) per second at a resolution of ±0.25µm (0.01 mil), producing precise structures as small as 0.1mm(4 mils). The motorized Z-axis provides three-dimensional machining for housings and front panels. Optional accessories include a fiducial-recognition system for automated front-to-back alignment as well as an integrated vacuum tabletop for securing substrates. In-house PCB prototyping provides independence from service providers and reduces design time while protecting sensitive product data.
