Siplace premium service is transparent and predictable

With the Siplace Service Premium Program from Siemens L&A, each subscriber can create his own customized package of services and pay only for what’s really needed. Expenses in service become foreseeable and transparent, enabling customers to focus more closely on increasing productivity and availability of their lines. This approach speeds up the time-to-market and reportedly improves the manufacturer’s delivery reliability by extending the modular placement-machine concept. Investment decisions are increasingly based on more than just specs. Users look at the overall economic efficiency of their production lines. Siplace placement machines can be configured for specific requirements. Depending on the requirements, a Siplace customer can now select from 14 service modules, keeping costs transparent and predictable. According to Siplace, “Surveys show that good and most of all modular service contracts significantly increase customer satisfaction. With our service program, we look at each customer’s overall situation and focus even more on productivity improvement than before”. One of the modules is Head Care, which includes maintenance with annual replacement of functional 6-nozzle and 12-nozzle C&P heads. All the user needs to do before scheduling the maintenance downtime is let Siemens know how many heads are needed. The service technician will then uninstall all used placement heads and replace them with refurbished heads which have been upgraded to the latest version. This preventive maintenance eliminates downtimes, achieving even a higher productivity. Another popular option is the All-Inclusive Hours Package, covering any troubleshooting and repair time a service technician may need. On-site telephone support is guaranteed. In addition, a Siplace service expert performs an annual check-up and maintenance service on the Siplace machines. The daily practice illustrates the importance of individualized service offerings. Different manufacturers with almost identical requirements and production portfolios may have dissimilar service needs. For this, Siplace analyzes the requirements and provides consulting meetings. The machine supplier creates an individual package, outlining the best possible solution for this customer.
