The Seica S40 Pilot LX builds on the proven S40 family of flying probe test solutions, using four mobile, independent test probes to perform complete in-circuit and functional tests on any type of board assembly without having to build fixtures or mechanical adapters. The capability to access the pins or terminations of SMDs directly adds to the high level of flexibility guaranteed by the entire modular hardware and software architecture. The flying-prober is a viable alternative to a traditional bed-of-nail-type board tester. The instrument also provides additional tools to increase test coverage, to shorten the program generation time, and, therefore, provides a good solution for the test of prototypes and small production runs.
