Assembly workstations and workplaces dealing with press-in tasks frequently are equipped with hand lever presses at which the force is measured and evaluated in correlation to the press-in displacement. The classification of good and bad parts is controlled. The load cell 8451 from Burster can be mounted directly between tool and press lifter, without any additional extension or modifications. The installation of the load cells is as fast and easy like a tool change. The measuring ranges up to 2 kN, and features an integrated overload protection. Thereby allowing also difficult parts with minor press-in forces to precisely be measured and handled. The ready-to-start process-monitoring package contains the force-displacement measuring device, the displacement sensor and the hand-lever press. Reportedly, existing press-in tools can be upgraded without any problem.
