Parallel AOI to double throughput
The Viscom high-speed AOI system S6056 features the parallel inspection of two board assemblies by means of a double-track system. In addition to the 4M-camera technology and the ease-of-use operating software, there are three different inspection concepts whose implementation depends on user requirements. Besides the selective inspection using single or double-tracks, this machine also offers the possibility of parallel operation to address high-throughput rate requirements. This configuration is fitted with a double-track and two camera modules, permitting the simultaneous inspection of two boards (max. 457 x 355mm) per transport lane. And there is an integrated shuttle available for the twin-track, both on the input side, as well as the output side, so there is no need for external switching points for use in single-line production. With its integrated switchgear cabinet and a hinged frame, maintenance is made easy. Reportedly, all of the company’s machine features are available: subsequent data analyses in combination with post-classification, SPC, etc., resulting in a powerful tool for real-time process optimization. OCR software allows for optical character recognition and second-source verification purposes. Moreover, this system is claimed to be fully lead-free capable, ensured by the algorithm rules-based analysis, obtaining optimum results under even highly varying contrast conditions.
