Mydata’s MYPlan optimization and scheduling software can further reduce production and changeover times in board-assembly operations. The software features enhanced tools for minimizing production times and changeover times. It also has an intuitive user interface, a built-in editor and an integrated web interface. Among others, the tool can be used for different tasks. For example, maximizing equipment utilization; minimizing staff by ensuring optimum job scheduling; increasing throughput by optimizing feeder set-up; balancing of up to five in-line machines; avoiding human errors with step-by-step kitting instructions; rescheduling around delayed component supply; minimizing changeover time, assembly time or both; editing and verifying machine programs and component library. For multi-job scheduling, the tool can optimize the production schedule for reportedly an unlimited number of jobs, based on minimum assembly time, minimum feeder loading time or both. The software calculates optimized job orders, together with magazine kits for each job. It takes into account everything from initial magazine content and batch size to up to feeder reloading time and machine throughput. This feature can be used standalone or in lines of up to five machines. The tool also features a changeover assistant: based on batch size, feeder-reloading time and machine throughput, the best changeover strategy will be selected.
