The Uni-A is a universal standard crimping applicator for both automatic or semi-automatic crimping presses. Besides the proven Uni-A applicators with mechanic or pneumatic, rear and side feed, two new versions are available from Schleuniger: The pneumatic side feed applicator Uni-A FA (see image) is suited to process all standard banded ferrules (closed barrel type terminals) for a cross section from 0.5 mm2 to 2.5 mm2. Change-over of cross section range is fast and simple. The pneumatic side feed applicator Uni-A MB processes all standard Mylar-banded terminals and uses a special drum feeding system. Changing to different terminal types is easy with a change-over set of crimp dies and anvils. In addition, loading and unloading of the terminal band is very user-friendly. The two applicators allow processing of additional terminal types with all the well known features of the Uni-A series, like high precision, stepless height adjustment or the mechanical ejector design. All settings like crimp height, insulation height or ejecting are also handled the same as with all Standard-Uni-A applicators.
