Reportedly, Mimot can now offer the largest feeder capacity of any pick&place system. Up to 324 feeder tracks can be changed on the running placement machine while production never stops, maximizing application flexibility and reducing or eliminating changeover times. Multiple jobs can be run on the same placement machine without the need to stop for change. According to the company, the market is demanding machines featuring higher flexibility for cost-efficient, just-in-time production. The autoplacer tool works in such a way that, when the first job is finished, the feeders for other jobs are already waiting, and production is not interrupted. A full spectrum of components from 0201s up to 55 x 55mm with a speed up to 21,600cph can be placed, without the need for a fine-pitch placer or chip shooter.
