High-volume underfill dispenser system

The Speedline Technologies’ Camalot XyflexPro HVB (high-volume batch) dispenser is claimed to deliver truly dramatic process improvements and cost-of-ownership benefits with the highest throughput underfill solution on the market. This machine uses a proprietary, patent-pending, conveyor-less material-handling mechanism and dual dispense heads. Typical performance is three-to-five times higher than conventional single-lane equipment. The increase is achieved by optimizing the number of parts in process to fully absorb long capillary flow times, part-transport times and extended product-heating times. These design innovations result in maximum dispense head utilization and the ability to process 16 boats/96 parts within the dispense area. In addition, it provides high throughput, even when using four or six position boats, a compact footprint for increased cleanroom space utilization, single-station magazine loading/unloading for improved ease-of-access, reduced maintenance needs, and the ability to organize machines into work cells. The system includes a pump technology with patented positive shut-off auger technology and a continuous-flow multi-piston mechanism with increased flow rates and improved repeatability. The software platform, shared with other Speedline machines, minimizes operator training and is GEM/SECS compatible.
